Tru’s clinical passion is to provide a safe and therapeutically engaging space for children, teens, young adults and their families, who identify with a variety of intersectional and/or historically marginalized identities as they navigate the complexities of mental health challenges. In addition to her passion for working with children and families, Tru also enjoys working with clients across the lifespan.
Tru’s approach to treatment can be described as technical eclecticism, as she pulls from a variety of techniques and therapeutic models that align with the presenting needs of the client. Tru’s use of this model aims to create a personally tailored treatment plan with ongoing collaboration from the client, focused on a warm and non-judgmental approach to exploring the many challenges individuals face in our multifaceted world. Tru has experience supporting clients that may be experiencing challenge such as mood disorders, trauma disorders (including medical trauma, chronic illness, PTSD and adjustment disorders), ADHD, ASD, and more.
As a clinician with intersecting identities she understands the importance of experiencing empathy and validation from a provider. Tru’s goal is to support clients of all ages in their journey to cultivate and refine the coping skills, and insight needed to feel connected and empowered in their daily lives.
