Clinically, Kate enjoys working with a variety of demographics, including diverse age ranges, presenting concerns, cultures, and backgrounds. She has a passion for working with adolescents struggling with relational difficulties, identity formation, school stress, and the demands of the modern world. Kate believes a strong therapeutic relationship founded on collaboration, genuine empathy, and trust is at the heart of therapy. She approaches each client with the awareness that all individuals are unique while uplifting that the client is the expert in their own life. Kate also has a passion for athlete mental health and the positive power of a healthy active lifestyle.
In her practice, Kate utilizes an integrative approach combining a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Existential and Psychodynamic therapies. Through exploring each of these modalities, Kate’s goals include helping clients recognize maladaptive thought patterns, their roots, and ways to reframe such patterns to beneficially impact her client’s lives. This integrative approach first increases self-awareness and then secondly implements strategies and tools for coping with newfound identities to ultimately bring about positive behavior change. Kate tailors this method to the needs of each client and is excited to help you reach your goals!
