Alina is a licensed certified social worker with a specialization in trauma practice. She holds an MSW from Simmons University and has worked with adults, adolescents, and children in outpatient individual, group, and couples settings. Having previously worked at Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Alina has a special interest in supporting survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence.

Alina’s therapeutic approach is relational, person-centered, and trauma-informed; she seeks to understand patients’ respective needs and goals and to prioritize building their sense of trust and safety in the therapy space. Through this lens, she draws from a range of modalities including CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), IFS (internal family systems), psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing). Alina believes in bringing curiosity, humor, and the mind-body connection into the process of therapy.
