Dr. Anika Goldman has been in the human service field for the past 25 years. After graduating from Harvard University with a Master’s Degree in Human Developmental and Psychology, she worked in home and community based programs to help strengthen families. She then moved to New York City to begin her doctoral studies at Yeshiva University. While there Dr. Goldman worked in hospitals, therapeutic schools and outpatient clinics. Since earning her doctorate and returning to Boston, she has continued to work in clinics where she provided therapy to people of all ages, and supervised clinicians completing their fellowship training. She was chief of a multi disciplinary behavioral health department within a large community health organization, before developing her full time private practice. She now provides individual and family therapy to people of all ages.
Dr. Goldman is particularly interested in issues of young children, including the developmental, regulatory and sensory difficulties that can cause behavioral and social concerns at home and at school. She is also interested in issues of young adults, including issues around self development, launching into the workforce, finding a partner and maybe starting a family. Mindfulness, compassion and connection guide all of her work.
